Cevex is an established agency with many years experience of making successful placements.
We select candidates based on their suitability for childcare, management of light household duties and flexibility to fit into family life. We consider these criteria as well as interests and other aspects of personality when making the selection.
We provide candidates to the families based on their interests and needs and ask families to provide information to assist in that matching process. We place females candidates around Spain.
To reassure our candidates about the families they are coming to, we ask clients to provide a reference, either written or verbal, from a previous au pair or nanny wherever possible.
Become an au pair
Our families look for candidates between 19 and 30 years old. We have different request of English, French or German candidates as native language preferred. Very good knowledge of those languages could be fine as well. Do not hesitate to contact us if your language is a different one, families may require different languages. Moreover, basic knowledge of Spanish language is useful. (Some families are willing to host au pairs without Spanish knowledge).
Au Pairs will live with a carefully screened Host Family who will treat the Au Pair as a family member, not as domestic help. We also offer the opportunity to study at a local spanish school.
All families offer an individual room, meals and a pocket money between €80 to 100€ a week. Usually you work 35 hours plus 1 or 2 nights of baby-sitting per week and have 2 days off.

Non-EU citizens need a visa to work as an au pair and simply need to contact their local Spanish consulate or embassy to request one. Non-EU citizens must be enrolled in a Spanish Language course before their arrival in order to obtain their visa to stay in Spain for more than three months.
EU citizens have all health costs covered by the Social Health Security of Spain. They must have a European Health Insurance Card from their health insurance. However, non-EU citizens must be able to present documentation of medical insurance of a different kind.
